Let’s face it props make your branding photos oh so much more interesting. They bring in your brand colors and personality while giving an insight to you. And they take the focus away from you – not saying that you shouldn’t be in your branding photos – you should, but you don’t have to be in all of them.
Choosing props for your branding session doesn’t have to be difficult. You don’t have to spend hours searching for the right things and you don’t have to spend tons of money. Chances are, you probably have almost everything you need either at your office or at home (which right now could be one and the same place.) And if you don’t have them they’re small purchases that can easily serve another purpose when you’re done with your shoot.
Here are 6 things you probably already have:
favorite coffee cup
planners, notebooks, journals
pen
notecards
houseplants or flowers
eyeglasses
Discuss the props you’re bringing with you with your photographer ahead of time. She’ll be sure to give you some other suggestions to bring tons of your brand into your shoot. For more ideas, download my prop suggestion list here.
